It’s sassy, sizzling and guaranteed to put more love in your Pride – an all-new version of ‘cult classic’ Night of the Queer is coming to TAPAC 7-15 February.
Presented by TAPAC and dynamic dance theatre company Luck & Schooney, Night of the Queer features an intoxicating mix of gender-bending acts of burlesque, cabaret, circus, theatre, music and dance. The acts are united by a powerful narrative built around a magical journey of self-discovery and love with characters inspired by Greek gods and goddesses.
Night of the Queer’s cast includes international entertainers James Luck and Rebekkah Schoonbeek, aerial artists Ellyce Bisson and Daniel Townsend, Blaise Clotworthy, Ben Channing and an ensemble cast of talented performers from Auckland’s LGBTIQA+ community.
“We’re showcasing the skills of these talented and fearless performers in a queer romance that will captivate audiences and encourage people from all walks of life to embrace who they truly are and be proud of their differences.” Co-Artistic Directors James Luck & Rebekkah Schoonbeek
