Did you LOVE Auckland Pride in 2017? Are you keen to help the Festival and Parade to grow, to improve, and to become even more responsive to our wonderful Rainbow communities?

Well, YOU CAN!

The Annual General Meeting of Auckland Pride Festival Incorporated will be held at 6pm on Thursday 31 August 2017 at Studio One Toi Tū, 1 Ponsonby Road, Auckland. The Board of Auckland Pride invites all members of our communities to attend the AGM.

The Board has responded to suggestions made during the 2016 Auckland Pride Community Hui, and has revised the constitution to ensure our communities have greater input into the planning and organisation of the Festival and Parade by becoming membership-driven.

At this month’s AGM, Auckland Pride will be increasing the number of serving Board members from seven to nine, which will further enhance engagement within our diverse communities.

The Board is currently seeking nominations for two new elected members with a range of skills and relevant experience, a passion for serving the Rainbow communities, and the ability to dedicate time and energy towards guiding the direction of the Auckland Pride Festival and Parade.

To secure voting rights at the AGM on Thursday 31 August, and to nominate other members as candidates for the Board, applicants must complete the form and pay the appropriate membership fee before Thursday 17 August.

Membership forms will also be available at the AGM. A full list of membership benefits will be announced when registrations for the 2018 Festival and Parade open on the Auckland Pride website.

The major dates for Auckland Pride 2018 have been announced. The 2018 Festival will run from Friday 2 to Sunday 18 February – featuring the Ending HIV Big Gay Out on Sunday 11 February, followed by the Auckland Pride Parade and Party on Saturday 17 February.
